Conservatory for Kids Camp Series

The CMC Decatur American Roots & Folk Music Day Camp is part of our Conservatory for Kids Camp Series. Conservatory for Kids camps are suitable for both beginners and more advanced students.  Depending on the student's background, the camps introduce or deepen a student's familiarity with a musical style or tradition.During the camps, each student meets one-on-one or in small groups with a primary studio instructor for a 30- to 45-minute lesson on an instrument of choice or for vocal coaching.  Students sing, drum, and also study notation, theory, and composition or song-writing through creatively designed and fun hands on classes, activities, and projects.  Arts and crafts activities focus on music-related art and building primitive instruments reflective of the style or tradition.   Faculty and guest performers also entertain and dazzle campers.  Like all Conservatory for Kids camps, the American Roots & Folk Music Camp will include ample break time and work on camp projects outdoors around and nearby the Center to meet the developmental needs of the enrolled children.

Current CMC Atlanta students may register for this program and pay later using the Quick Registration Form (use the Register link below)

New students should enroll via our standard Day Camp Registration Form here-- we need more info from you than the Quick Form provides.  Enroll now, space is limited and offered on a first come, first served basis.

Are you a new student?

If you have registered for a program and wish to make a payment, please note:

Posting your deposit and tuition invoices, including adding additional students, changing the invoice from monthly installments to payment by term, balance of term, or weekly installment, is done manually in our business office, usually within 24 hours of registration, and often much faster. We encourage you to monitor your account for the new invoice(s) and to check your email for notifications from us.

Important: our first emails sometimes end up in spam or promotions. Once you respond to us or move our email to you from spam or promotions to your Inbox, subsequent email notices from us should arrive unimpeded.

What Steps Should I Take?

We know parents enrolling in AMP at the start of school are often worried that a spot is not open.  If the registration form is active, you can be assured we have room on our roster for your child(ren).

Once your invoice is posted and/or arrives via email, make a timely payment to secure a place on our roster. Complete the mandatory Participation Form for each student enrolled.

Thank you again for joining us. We're pleased to have the opportunity to serve you and your family.
