Winter Weather Closures and Make Up Days

The weather forecast suggests there could be more snow and ice across metro Atlanta this week, and most schools have closed in response.  We always post local Center and program closures on our web site.  Please check back for updates.  Our general rule of thumb is to follow the local school calendar, unless circumstances warrant otherwise.    

We are tracking the history of school and related CMC Atlanta program closures this term, and we will post make up options for missed lessons and AMP days as it becomes clear how school districts will adjust their calendars in response to this winter's unusual number of winter weather related interruptions.  

We fully expect all school districts to respond by adding more instructional days, and we will extend our term and add AMP and make up lesson days accordingly.       

CMC Decatur Closures and Make Up Options

Monday, January 6: make up on Monday, March 10 (Decatur AMP and Core Program open, CSD open in lieu of previously planned teacher workday) 

Tuesday, January 7: make up plans pending

Wednesday, January 29: make up plans pending

Thursday, January 30: make up Thursday, May 29 (Decatur AMP and Core Program open on extra day added to school year by CSD)

Friday, January 31: make up plans pending

CMC Little 5 Points & CMC Dunwoody Closures and Make Up Options

Tuesday, January 7: make up plans pending school board announcements

Wednesday, January 29 - Friday, January 31: make up plans pending school board announcements
